EVS for ALL
Working Towards a Brighter Future
“EVS for all” is 30 month long strategic EVS project funded by the Erasmus+ program of the EU, coordinated and initiated by Outward Bound Croatia, implemented in partnership with 4 partners – PECO from Italy, SFERA Macedonia from FYROM, Brno Connected from Czech Republic, Pekarna Magdalenske mreže Maribor from Slovenia, and associated partners Lahden kaupunki Lahti city from Finland, Almenaras Youth Association from Spain and Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences from Armenia.
Project´s objectives are to raise knowledge and consciousness about EVS and volunteering in general, raise consciousness about the value and importance of it and raise knowledge about certificates of competences gained through volunteering, in Croatia and in countries of partners as well as wider on international level through dissemination activities. Having 7 partners from different countries that implement EVS projects in different fields and different sectors contributes to the intercultural dimension of the project, diversity and relevance of project.
Set goals will be achieved through delivering workshops for youngsters in Croatia about EVS, volunteering and certificates gained through volunteering (on workshops for youth about EVS and volunteering we plan to include 250 youth in Croatia); through delivering workshops for representatives of different sectors about EVS and volunteering (we plan to include up to 250 persons in Croatia in these workshops). To be able to provide first hand experiences and practical advices and examples of how EVS can be organised in different sectors, our EVS coordinator and assistant will job shadow at our associated partners that organise EVS within different sectors. - Lahti city - public administration sector, Almenaras from Spain - organize EVS at Home for elderly, Yerevan University - educational institution as we aim at educating persons from these sectors in Croatia about EVS to contribute to initiation of more EVS projects not only in NGOs but also other sectors. During project more complementary activities will be organised to achieve the goals of the project - seminar for representatives from all partner and associated partner countries in the 1st year of project to exchange experiences and practices and come up with solutions to recognised issues.
During project 4 long term EVS volunteers will be involved, 2 in 1st year – from Italy and Macedonia and 2 in 2nd year of project – from Czech Republic and Slovenia. Volunteers will gain valuable key competences and skills, and we will choose volunteers that face economic, social or educational obstacles.
Volunteers will be involved in all aspects and activities of this project and will develop their personal project during their EVS. They will be empowered and enriched with range of competences and skills that will make them more competent on the job market.
Project will end with a conference in Croatia in 2020 to present and disseminate results of the project, outcomes and measured impact, with relevant stakeholders, partner organisations, institutions, young people, participants of workshops will be invited – youth and representatives from different sectors. Publication presenting results of the project with measured impact and evaluation will be published online, promoted by OBC and all partners and associated partners, available on relevant platforms such as VALOR and SALTO-YOUTH portal.
